The sun is shining, kids are out of school, work typically slows down—summer is the perfect time to get out and enjoy life in Hoboken. But sometimes, summer can get expensive. Between shopping and restaurants and entertainment, you might be looking for ways to enjoy the season…without breaking the bank.
That’s where the Hoboken Summer Concert series comes in! Take in free music and fun, and see what’s on the schedule.
Where & When
The Hoboken Summer Concert series happens at the amphitheater in Frank Sinatra Park, which is a hub of activity in Hoboken. In addition to the concerts, the park also offers a kayak launch, athletic fields, and walking paths, all set against the breathtaking Manhattan skyline.
The concerts take place on Thursday evenings every week and start at 7pm. The series started on June 13th and lasts until August 15th!
The next concert happens this Thursday, the 25th, and features music from the Guitar Bar Allstars, as they present at Tribute to Woodstock. The group is hoping to break the record for the most musicians playing a single song, so bring along your guitar or stringed instrument to help them out and participate in history!
The final three performances will feature Son Del Cibao, a Cuban salsa band, Bull Dog, playing a celebration of the Beatles, and Julio Fernandez & Friends, playing originals and songs from the movie Woodstock. Occasionally, other special events are scheduled for the night of the concert—like a vintage car show during Son Del Cibao’s concert—so be sure to double-check the schedule!
Find Your Fun in Hoboken
In addition to the summer concert series, there are tons of other free events and happenings to participate in around the city. Be sure to check out these highlights coming up soon:
